You remind me of birthers in US who challenged Obama’s credentials bcaz he was born in Hawaii and for them Hawaii is not real America. AJK I can understand but you even declared Shahid Khaqan Abbasi disqualified bcaz he is from hilly regions of Punjab.
If the yard stick was to show loyalty where you are fed from then don’t just limit it to hilly billies. Pakistanis bash America when they all know Pakistan cannot survive one year w/o American aid. I don’t know if Muree-ites think like you observed but people of AJK definitely does especially independent Kashmir followers. Some times it baffles me how they think but I give them benefit of doubt due to their ordinary background. I don’t know if you deserve the same free pass when you scoop low at their level.
17 Jan, 2022 at 9:09 am #10Even here in US when you don’t have 4×4 you will struggle in snow even if you have 3.5L van. I don’t know how 0.8L FX being stuck in snow is some how locals fault? People should have used better judgement if their car will be able to handle snow.12 Jan, 2022 at 7:25 pm #5Don’t know why there is so much hue and cry of prices jacking up in Muree. That’s simple demand and supply. That’s why peak rates are different than off peak. When we drive to DC hot lanes vary from under $4 to $70 depending upon the traffic. Every tourist destination milk/earn most during peak season.1 Jan, 2022 at 10:40 pm #7Not sure how many problems Indra Ghandi’s husband created or how Kamala Harris husband will turn out around power. The ideal way is to keep the low key and let wife take the lime light and 99% of the time wife takes the back seat and let husband flourish in his career. Both Zardari and Capt. Safdar joined politics and became MNA. It almost never happens other way round. Wife doesn’t step in unless husband is in hot waters.Heard even Prianka Ghandi’s husband is creating similar problems for her. Zardari is a total disaster. Capt. Safdar just talks foolish but hasn’t damaged PMLN as they have too many other successors. Bhutto family would have been better off of in the line of succession Bhuttos kids were lined up like Sharifs instead of Zardari. Imagine if instead of Shahbaz, Humza and Maryam, Capt Safdar was probable successor. It would be a cake walk for GHQ and opposition. I give lot of credit to Shahbaz Sharif, he never turned against brother despite lot of pressure from establishment over decades. If Bhuttos had done same they would be around.

21 Dec, 2021 at 4:50 pm #7Moulana Fazal Ur Rehman is the leading voice not only against PTI but also GHQ. JUI-F winning elections is very bad sign for both GHQ and PTI. If this happened in KPK you can imagine what would PMLN do to PTI in Punjab. IK blamed poor candidates selection for this rout and their ministers on ground said it’s the inflation.inflation hovered around 4-6% in PMLN’s years and under PTI its 9-12%. Some of it is definitely PTI’s mismanagement but primarily it’s our long term systematic issues mostly tied to GHQ’s disastrous foreign policy and no civilian govt is at liberty to change the course.
in all this messy situation GHQ has urged IK to start begging for Afghanistan. In August GHQ and majority of the Pakistanis were celebrating Talibans’s victory and within 3 months we are holding OIC meeting to seek humanitarian aid else half of the 38M Afghans will face hunger this winter. Our Generals who supported Talibans for 3 decades didn’t foresee this? Same Generals want to be our economic managers?
6 Dec, 2021 at 8:11 am #11Army is half of the problem the other half is religion. We need to tone down religiosity. Barelvis are majority in Pakistan, it’s surprising they are resorting to violence. Our PM is wanna be sufi and is signing up for same cult. His bigger concern is how western values are effecting our family system not blasphemy related lynching. Our army is scared of these molvis after red mosque backlash when they were told not to wear uniforms and move around in private vehicles. Well what goes around comes around, if you prescribe Talibaization for Afghanistan it will haunt you in Pakistan as well, sooner or later. TLP is projected to be second largest party in Punjab in one max two election cycles.8 Nov, 2021 at 5:44 pm #9Pakistan team has been playing well but our success in first two games against India and NZ is primarily bcaz we won those two tosses. Will Pak be able to win toss in SF and then Final? If Pak, or for that matter Aus, Eng and NZ too, lose the toss will they be able to overcome 20-25 runs dew disadvantage?Between parity teams it’s a lot. One can argue SA won against Eng despite losing toss bcaz they still scored 190 but except that one game SA had to win big not just win no team has won the evening game after losing toss of course among top teams. Against minnows everyone can win. Minnows didn’t do any upset. Actually Afg didn’t beat any of the top 6 teams in T20 in last 25 outings. Not sure how Pakistanis were hoping Afg to beat India. Pak and NZ only beat Ind bcaz they won those crucial tosses4 Nov, 2021 at 7:39 am #20میں ویکسین کے بغیر بھی محفوظ ہوں الحمداللہ۔ اب کہا جارہا ہے کہ ماسک ضروری لگایا جاے خواہ ویکسین لگی ہوی ہو تب بھی کرونا ہوجاتا ہے۔ کسی دوسرے ملک جانا ہوا تو لگوا لوں گاHere you sound fairly progressive but this antivax posture ….
1 Nov, 2021 at 5:12 am #2Very sorry to hear about your loss brother, Believer12 . May God rest her soul in eternal peace.7 Oct, 2021 at 5:10 pm #4What’s the inside story behind changing Gen. Faiz Hameed from DG ISI to Peshawar Corp Commander. On the surface it may look like demotion but after leading the Corp he becomes eligible, along with other 3 contenders, to succeed QJ Bajwa in Nov’ 2022. after Bajwa retires. This crooked General is IK’s favorite for all the favors he did to PTI. His brother is also associated with PTI, right?Guilty is romanticizing one picture with tea cup. It is very insignificant. There is no confusion about Pakistan backing Afghan Talibans since their inception 3 decades ago. The picture didn’t affirm or deny that reality.
