This absolutely disgusting, sickening and deplorable incident where innocent and specially kids are becoming victims of someone who either is mentally sick or is deliberately carrying out such heinous acts. If my niece, nephew, brother, sisters or anyone that i am remotely know is a victim, I will react the same way and demand and support extra judicial action. Absolutely I will . However since I have not experienced such pain, I am wondering if extra judicial action is the solution to reduce such instances (Yes I am hypocrite and hence I am talking hypocritically. Also in my opinion as long as a humans will live on this planet, there will always be a possibility of such actions, hence I think we can reduce such actions not completely eliminate).In my opinion extra judicial action may give temporary relief or quash the anger of those who have borne such pain but it will never provide strong deterrence to reduce such heinous acts in future. A just society where law is dispensed swiftly and fairly regardless of caste, creed, color, status or affiliation is the only option, in my opinion, that can help reduce such acts to very minimal.As I mentioned it is easy for me to say it as I am not a victim yet i still believe fair and swift application of law can help prevent me and you  from becoming a victim in future of any illegal, heinous or wrong act.

Few years ago I bought a blue Honda Civic and since then i have observed that I see not only lots of Honda Civics on the road but see lots of blue Honda Civics on the roads. Before that I never observed so many blue Honda Civics on the road. I am wondering if really majority of the cars on the roads are blue Honda Civics or i tend to only observe blue Honda Civics and unintentionally dont observe other makes and colors. This is in a country where there are dozens and dozens of makes, models and colors of cars are sold  and purchased.Now someone may observe and ask, what is the relevance of my comment to the topic of the thread. And I dont know if I can answer that question intelligently.

Very interesting discussion and debate between the respected bloggers. Good to see different perspectives. As far as the topic of thread is concerned, in my opinion:

1. Some vested interests seem very obvious. In a society where religion can easily be used to trigger violence as well as increase the ratings of the tv shows, one may get carried away in using religion for personal interests.
2. Freedom of speech is abused.
3. Hypocrisy is prevalent. What is good for me cannot be made available to other and vice versa.
4. Rule of law is not fairly exercised and sometimes there is no rule of law.
5. One only hears or understands only what one wants to.
6. Lies and half truths prevail but truth is found no where.

flat bookings in the under-construction building_________________Can a booking of a flat in an under construction building be considered as “undeclared”. In my opinion unless the ownership is legally transferred this is not property of Khan sahib. Once the falt is legally transferred to Khan sahib after construction then he has to declare it.  We even dont know how much he has paid for booking it.The question is why Khan shaib needs another flat worth Rs 5 crore when he has sprawling residence in Bani Gala and how will he pay for Rs. 5 crore, unless he has continuously declared his source of income in tax returns and the source of income do justify Khan sahib having ability to eventually pay Rs 5 crore at possession.I love our politicians as they dont work yet have properties worth billions. Pure magical (read mysterious)

misguided obsessionI agree that PML(N) has an obsession with infrastructure and often obsession is not good. Saying so I dont think it is misguided. In my opinion we need to have balance between investment on infrastructure and other social offerings. Secondly, the article tends to limit the definition of infrastructure to highways, power plants and railroads only. Yes these are all examples of infrastructure but infrastructure also includes schools, colleges, hospitals, institutes, parks, entertainment centres etc. Once PML(N) balances its obsessions for highways with passion for overall infrastructure, it can further help Pakistan. I think PML(N) should continue to focus on highways, power plants etc and also have equal focus on social service offerings. Just an opinion.On a lighter note I enjoyed reading the last line of the article ““When we asked the Chinese about it, they laughed at us,” he said.”. Yes investing in bullet trains or even thinking about it at this juncture of journey of Pakistan towards development,  is absolutely “misguided” obsession.

Without this resilience, people cannot survive. نادان صاحبہ

آپکی تحریر پڑھی اور کوشش کی کے آپ کے غم کی شدت کو سمجھ سکوں لیکن اتنا نہیں سمجھ پایا کے جتنا شاید آپ پر گزرا ہے یا گزر رہا ہے.یقیناً آپ کی والدہ محترمہ کی جدائی ایک گہرا سانحہ ہے. اس طرح کے سانحے وقت گزرنے کے باوجود نہ صرف ذھن کے کسی گوشے میں بستے رہتے ہیں مگر دل کے ہر کونے سے ابھرتے راہیں گے.قدرت دو حوالوں سے ہر ایک کے ساتھ یکساں سلوک کرتی ہے. ایک تو ہر کسی کو ایک دن میں چوبیس گھنٹے ہے مہیا کرتی ہے دوسرا ہر آنے والے ک کسی نہ کسی وقت واپس لے جاتی ہے. . میں، میرے عزیز ، مرے دوست اور اپ اور آپ کے عزیز اور عزیز دوست بھی اسی قدرتی عمل سے گزریں گے اور ہم سب یہ جانتے ہیں کے یہ ایک اٹل حقیقت ہے، اس کے باوجود ہم ذہنی طور پر اس کو قبول کرنے سے اکثر و بیشتر قاصر ہوتے ہیں یا ہونے کی کوشش کرتے ہیںانسان ہونے کے ناطے ہم دانستہ یا نادانستہ انسیت کی ان حدوں تک پہنچ جاتے ہیں جہاں جدائی ایک گہرا ناسور بن جاتی ہے.عاطف صاحب نے اچھی بات کی ہے. مجھ میں اچھی بات کرنے کی صلاحیت نہیں ہے . عاطف صاحب کی بات امید ہے کے آپ کو حوصلہ دلاتی رہے گی.زندگی میں تھوڑی کم انسیت کے ساتھ انسانوں کی خدمات کریں. اللہ آپ کو دلی سکون دے گا .
