The economic policies adopted by both PPP in 90s under Benazir and also PMLN were disastrous, they were futile regardless of establishment’s meddling in political affairs.

Is it not superficial statement?

The part in red is indeed an ignorant one. One must be naive (I don’t grant you this advantage) to think government works in silos.

I want to remind everyone that it wasn’t Nawaz Sharif’s first rodeo, in 2013 he was elected for the 3rd time with a majority and he let slip out of his hands, he couldn’t capitalize on it. Any argument that Imran have him a really tough time as an opposition is laughable because all he had to do was investigate the rigging allegations in 4 constituencies.

Thanks for reminding, we are reminded.

As you mentioned that NS was elected so the demand for rigging investigations were mere excuses to destabilize country. If demand was that simple, why ISI had to coordinate dharna between IK and that other pawn of agencies?

Every party except  PTI declared 2018 elections as most rigged election, despite of tall claims, why PTI did not conduct investigations into rigging allegations unless they were beneficiary of it?

Economy was handed to a crook like Dar whose only qualification was that he was a close relative of Sharif family so don’t tell me Nawaz Sharif’s focus was the economy, he wanted to settle old scores.

I don’t blame NS more than its due share to trust economy  or for that matter powerful CM Punjab position or other important positions, on his trusted cronies  as one need to watch his back for stabbing all the time. Agreed with your settling old scores part.

What PMLN left behind for PTI to clean up was a complete mess, it has been over 16 months and PTI has finally managed to clean up a big chunk of it. Watch this interview of Atif Mian, it is very enlightening.

I know you would have wanted Atif Mian to be part of current regime but fact is that he is not. IK can take stand for likes of Buzdar but gave in for Atif Mian, its a sad situation more than shameful.

I think I had posted this video of Atif Mian, when this interview was first published. He is clearly mentioning problem with growth model that depends on foreign aid. He is suggesting to change the model to produce goods / services domestically aiming to export them later. For that purpose, one must invest in enhancing the capability of human capital and domestic resources. Who can disagree with that? and I want to see that what actions current government is taking in this regard?  I know this is long haul, but it has to be started. Without substantially moving in this direction, all promises are hollow. Good thing with performance indicators is, anybody can find one that suits his point of view.
