I have suggested that those who were born and bread in Pakistan and consider themselves Muhajirs should either be put on a boat or repatriated.I would like to offer couple of clarifications:1.My comment is not aimed at an entire community because I know that the entire community does not feel like that. Few thousand gathering to listen to Altaf Hussain’s speeches is not the entire community nor does it represent the community.2.I do not regard my comment as racist nor it is meant to be. Because my family also migrated in 1947 from India to Pakistan. I have never felt like a Muhajir.3. This suggestion of mine is not a new one. First time I posted it here was more than 6 months ago in an exchange with member Gulraiz. My recent re-affirmation was not aimed at any individual. It was a general re-statement of my views and always has been so.4. I have never tried to persuade anyone to endorse my opinion but equally I do not expect to be pressurised to change my opinion. My opinion will change when there is evidence for the opinion to change.

You are being sarcastic but let me state it in unequivocal terms that my response to your question to Guilty on “Hindustani” as “Hindu Ustani” was meant to be taking mickey out of it and nothing more than that. I feel that your English comprehension is quite weak, so let me say again in simple words, yes it was meant to be funny and nothing else. If you and other member who read that comment and find it funny that dont forget to say, Thank You Lovelyday”.

 

However, you started the hostilities by “assuming” that you have been insulted. In subsequent post you asked me directly, if I have been trying to be funny or disrespectful to you and (for reasons which only you know you added) to urdu speaking.

1. In my response, I broke down your comment into three part and responded for your clarifications and information. For the first part, I was pretty clear in prompting you that why would you take it otherwise. Meaning ofcourse the response was a light heart comment and dont take it personally. Also, you know as well as I do, that Guilty sahib, really put you off with his “one in a billion style” of comments.  I sensed your frustration with train metaphor and pointed that out as your response changed the tenor. So what if it wasn’t addressed to me. Grow up and accept the fact that anyone could pick up your comments and respond. Thats what this forum is for and there was nothing untoward in it.

2. In the second part, I asked you to let me know where and how have I been disrespectful to you? You chose not to back up your words and show me where have I been disrespectful to you which would have cleared the air right then and there. Further down the chain in that thread, even GP sahib mentioned that he would like to see how you would respond to my light heart comments on Hindustani. Only God knows what you saw in my words that made you feel insulted. It is your problem that you chose not to address the problem when given the opportunity to do so. So dont make a mountain out of a mole hole and enjoy it.

3. Saleemraza calls you Ustad Ji. So when you asked Guilty if he understands what Hindustani means, I broke the word Hindustani into Hindu – Ustani which was to loosen the stifling air due to your highly opinionated comment. And that comment was that Muhajirs should take pride in calling themselves Hindustani and should have educated the masses. Which in my view is absolutely rubbish and racist logic to even apply on Muhajirs as you did in your comments on that thread. Go read that comment again and try to see from other people’s perspective. This is exactly why Saleemraza admonished you (to my surprise then) and GP sahib pointed out that you should refrain coloring the discussions without substantial intellectuality  with your idiotic logic that Muhajirs should consider themselves as Hindustani because Hindustani is the old name of the language these people spoke in India. Even on this thread, Muhtaram Mirza sahib rebuked you on the same point and all you could come up with is your experience of the University debate. You need to do some introspection of your belief set specially when it comes to race, language and Pakistan before you start advocating that Muhajirs should call themselves Hindustani.

4. It seems and it seemed even then, that you did not and still does not, like the fact that I spoiled an opportunity for you to brag about your flimsy intellectuality and copy-paste without a source link from Wikipedia on Hindustani bull$hit. People of Pakistan can not and should not be professed as Hindustani for what ever reason. And  I dont see how you could save yourself from being called a racist based on such poor argumentation and logic as you did in Thakur thread.

 

So, Shahid Abassi sahib, dont blame the messenger. Look inwards and see if you could articulate information without being viewed as racist specially when your new found buddy was throwing insults on Muhajirs on multiple threads. It is one thing to discuss a matter and completely the other to settle score with someone. Yes, sir, you would be seen as accessory to the crime and you know that very well.

 

You could have saved yourself some dignity, if you had clarified what was eating you. I gave you the opportunity to clear the air but you chose to ignore it, perhaps feeling proud in your arrogance and pomposity that how come someone could rebuke me on my” Muhajirs should call themselves Hindustani ” logic. There is time and place for such discussions and you possess neither the intellectual nor the articulation, so better educate yourself to come up more than pointing out a debate at University. By the way, it must have been some 30+ years ago. Right. Gees man, grow up you are 57 now.

 

Rajas are my first cousins. I met him in Dubai while he was preparing for T10 league couple of months back. You happened to be his class mate. So what?? It proves nothing. And by the way, I did not ask you to present me with your resume with extracurricular activities you performed 30+ years back. You are already an owner of a business so act like one and dont brag. I sure do hope that treat your employees with better judgement and logic than “Muhajirs should call themselves Hindustani” .(for your comprehension pun is intended…so dont take it at heart).

 

This forum is for interaction and communication with others. If you chose to ignore expressing yourself then what can I say. It is your choice but you certainly would not be acting like an adult. World is a tough place Mr Owner. I may be extremely prejudice to your writings here after this episode but I will always would want to read and respond what you have to say. Honestly, Shahid Abassi, dont shut yourself when you read something you dont like. I sincerely think that you view things from your own perspective and take firm stand on them. Ask if you dont understand others point of view or perspective. Dont hesitate to inquire when others provide you with the opportunity to help you see things clearly. Interactions, specially on cyber world, are not a hunky dory affair. For my part, I will be more intrusive to your comments from now on whether you like it or not.

Thank you so very much Saleemraza bhai,I know, bawa ji did mention to me of your gatherings and thats what really surprised me of your interaction with GP sahib. I have a vision of you being a larger than life personality who always glued everyone and stood fast in the most difficult emotional times with friends.  I know, when GP sahib had posted a comment asking about some information on starting a business. It was Bawa ji and yourself, who responded to help out in this regard. Yeah, there are many such things, in my view, which made me proud to know you from the cyber world.I have been reading you since 2009 and have never seen you making comments like, “if you dont like this or that about Pakistan…. then go to India…” . I am obviously, paraphrasing you comment. But, really, I thought that this is a double ID which is fighting with everyone and scolding all on this forum. It just did not match with the profile of Saleemraza that I have in my mind. As I said, for me Saleemraza is someone with a golden heart and wide open arms for everyone.Thank you. You are beautiful and best mate, when you showed you care about everyone. Yes, I am still in Melbourne, and when gravity moves south, do let me know and we will have a good fun.

I have suggested that those who were born and bread in Pakistan and consider themselves Muhajirs should either be put on a boat or repatriated.

One can argue invoking ethnicity in politics ought to be out of bounds. The harsh fact is politics revolves around ethnicity in both developing or developed world. If you have an issue with word Mohajir please suggest the alternative. There are many who came from different parts of India – UP, Bihar, Bhopal, Delhi etc. Under what banner you suggest they should unite to seek their political rights. Altaf bhai tried to play ball with military establishment and self declared pseudo Patriots, like you, by dropping the name Mohajir and highlighting Mutidaha but without much luck. There are many like you still crafting boats. You can’t wrap Patriotism around your chauvinist and racist attitude. If you don’t like word Mohajir don’t use it but you are no one to tell Mohajirs how to organize for their political rights. Few weeks back GHQ puppets like Mustafa Kamal and Anjaan were embarrassed when they tried to retire word Mohajir from the politics of Karachi.

Why there is a 4th P in PPP? Why NAP is now ANP? Our military doesn’t like certain political brands. Look at their creativity Tahrek Labak Ya Rasool Allah (TLYRA), Jaish e Mohammad, Lashkar e Tayiba, Pak Sir Zameen. Seems like their political branding team ain’t much different than their missile branding team – both equally stupid. Mohajir Qoumi Movement ain’t all inclusive. what about Pakistan Muslim League? There is no doubt Jinnah was a separatist leader but after Pakistan came into being they should have dropped Muslim word from a political party. Instead every General make a new faction with a same name as if this name is a piece of art that can’t be discarded. It’s even hard to imagine British Christian League or American Christian Party winning elections in developed world. The Anjaans have problem with ethnic references in political parties what about religious? Isn’t that worse?
