ان صفحات پر ایک اور موضوع پر غالباً محصول کے حوالے سے انسانی رویہ کا ذکر دو انتہائی محترم معزز اور بیش بہا علم سے فیضیاب ہستیوں نے کیا ہے یا میں سمجھ پایا ہوں کہ انہوں نے اس ذکر کو چھیڑا ہے . ان محترم ہستیوں کی علمی گفتگو سے مرعوب ہو کر ایک سوال ذہن میں اٹھتا ہے کہ

کیا انسانی رویہ عمومی طور پر ہر جگہہ اور ہر معاشرے میں ایک جیسا ہی ہوتا ہے ؟

میرا خیال ہے کہ ہر انسان کا رویہ کسی دوسرے شخص سے کچھ حوالوں سے یا کچھ اوقات میں یا کچھ صورتحال میں کچھ نہ کچھ مختلف ہوتا ہے یا ہو سکتا ہے مگر عمومی طور پر اور بیشتر حوالوں یا مواقعوں پر کافی حد تک ایک جیسا ہی ہوتا ہے . اور اگر رویوں میں بہت فرق نظر بھی آیا ہے تو بہت کم انسانوں میں یا کم مواقعوں پر

انسان رویہ اپنے ارد گرد، تجربات ، اثر رسوخ وغیرہ کی وجہ سے کسی حد تک پنپتا تو ضرور ہے مگر اس کی بنیادی تشکیل اور جزو اور محرکات وہی رہتے ہیں اور شاید یہی وجہ ہے انسانی رویہ عمومی طور پر ایک جیسا ہی ہوتا ہے . شاید ایک وجہ یہ بھی ہے کہ انسان ایک سماجی جانور ہے اور گروہ کی شکل میں رہنا چاہتا ہے اور اس گروہ اور سماج ‘کے اثرات سے اثر انداز ہوتا ہے جو اس کے رویہ کا سبب بنتے ہیں

Interesting that Plato said that . The meaning of  “Preference” is subjective.  What do I prefer in context of what is the requirement of the moment at that given time is. How would we define Evil ? Do we need to have a quantitative alternative , a compelling adversary to measure what is good in good and what is bad in Evil ? Or it will be measure through our material determent , our  physical harm or our spiritual contamination , to fully realize the effects of evil and the benefits of good ?

میں سمجھتا ہوں کہ بہترین انسانی رویہ ایک بیلنس رویہ ہے۔  سنتے ہیں کہ حکیم لقمان نے کہا تھا  اتنے میٹھے نہ بنو کہ تمہیں نگل لیا جاے اور اتنے کڑوے نہ بنو کہ تمہیں تھوک دیا جاے

عموما جب کوی بندہ بہت زیادہ میٹھا بن رہا ہو تو اس سے بھی کوفت ہونے لگتی ہے۔ اور بہت زیادہ بد مزاجی بھی برداشت کرنی مشکل ہوجاتی ہے

میں اس بات سے متفق ہوں کہ انسان گروہوں میں رہنا پسند کرتا ہے اور اس معاشرے کا عمومی رویہ اس پر اثرانداز ہوتا ہے۔ مثال کے طور پر سندھیوں کا رویہ پنجابیوں سے بالکل مختلف ہوگا اور اگر آپ سرحد سے ہوتے ہوے قبائلی علاقوں میں چلے جایئں تو ان کا رویہ بالکل ہی جداگانہ ہوگا

ناروے میں پہلے پہل مجھے محسوس ہوا کہ نارویجن بہت ریزرو قسم کے لوگ ہیں بس یا ٹرین میں سب الگ الگ بیٹھے ہوتے کوی دوسرے کے ساتھ بیٹھنا پسند نہیں کرتا ، بعد میں پتا چلا کہ ان کا یہ رویہ صدیوں میں پروان چڑھا کیونکہ یہاں گھر ایکدوسرے سے خاصے فاصلے پر ہوتے تھے اور آپس میں تعلقات بھی نہیں ہوتے تھے لہذا تنہای میں رہنا ان کی عادت بن گئی

ہر انسان کے رویہ کے پیچھے اس کی پوری زندگی شامل ہوتی ہے .. کسی نے غربت بہت دیکھی ہوتی ہے تو کسی امیری … کوئی یتیم پیدا ہوتا ہے تو کوئی ساری عمر ماپ باپ کے خرچے پر موج کرتا ہے … کچھ نے سختی زیادہ دیکھی ہوتی تو کسی نے نرمی … اگر انسانی رویوں میں الجھو گے تو زندگی الجھن میں گزرے گی. بس اپنا ذاتی رویہ سلجھاۓ رکھو، الجھنیں اور مسائل دور‎ ‎ہوتے جائیں گے.

Thanks for your comment and view point. I think in this quote by Plato, the emphasis is not on “preference” but on human nature. Secondly, in my opinion, preference is not absolute and as you have also pointed out it is subjective.

I just shared some quotes on human nature and it seemed to me that many of these quotes pointed that human nature is generally the same. Plato is also saying the same in my opinion, that generally human nature is not to choose evil.

We can always have a debate on what preference means, what evil means, who decides and what not.

And there is a great possibility that I misunderstood Plato’s quote.

I don’t think you misunderstood his quote but quite contrary you managed to put lots of uniform quotes together in a very sensible way . All I was saying is that the existing of good and bad ,in my opinion , compliments each other  in entirely different sense. One can’t enjoy the benefits of good without feeling the evil of bad. Or may be I couldn’t put enough sense together to explain what i wanted to say, as always , my lack of knowledge wander my in to dark aisles and unknown territories.
